Matchstick Racer

Matchstick Racer is an arcade racer where you race as a Matchbox car through a Swedish pine forest. Try to get the best score you can!

The game was originally made in 5 days time as part of a game development course. The assignment was simply to create a racing game in some terrain, this is what I came up with.

Please give me your feedback on the look and feel of the game in the comment section. I would also like to hear your thoughts on what you think makes a good arcade racer.

Excellent graphics. Had problems steering. Has too little impact, can't stay on the road that way. (brave browser, on windows) Front wheels visually turn the wrong way when steering while driving backwards. A soft alpha-blend from road to forest ground would be nice. But even without it, top design. Remove some of the frontwheel slide effect, so the steer feels more responsive.

Also, after jumping off the terrain edge, then pressing Esc gave a wasm error alert.
